The Armored Group, LLC (TAG) has announced that they are now manufacturing new Cash-in-Transit (CIT) vehicles used by the cannabis industry. These vehicles utilize a variation of the company’s existing Cash-in-Transit vehicles that meet the unique operational needs of the cannabis industry. The Armored Group started manufacturing these vehicles to meet a growing market demand for armored vehicles to securely transport wholesale products to dispensaries, pick up cash and deliver it to the Federal Reserve, bank or cash processing vault by armored courier service provider.

“It is important to identify industries that need armored vehicles and aren’t sure where to go to get the security they need to transport valuables, cash, coin and other liability.  The growing cannabis industry was one of those markets transporting valuable product and cash. The Armored Group saw this need and developed a vehicle perfect for this industry,” said Robert Pazderka, Founder and President of The Armored Group. “The vehicle is purposely non-descript retaining the OEM exterior with a safety cell within the “shell” of the vehicle. It also features critical items like infrared cameras inside and out, built-in safes, GPS, satellite phones and light shutoff switches as an extra precaution.”

The move into this segment has revitalized the cash-in-transit (CIT) industry. The earliest CIT modes of guarded transportation were stagecoaches which were mechanized around 1910. Around 2000, there was a massive corporate consolidation of CIT service providers operating within the most populous regions.  Today, more and more independent operators are entering the market again, giving he armored vehicle manufacturing industry a renewed revenue stream enabling more people to secure jobs, markets and territories in this growing industry.

The Armored Group, LLC (TAG), a leading worldwide provider of armored vehicles, and TerraHawk LLC, the developer of rapid mobile surveillance tower systems, have joined forces. TerraHawk will be rebranded as TerraHawk built by TAG Specialty Vehicles. The company will offer SWAT teams, border patrol teams, private security teams and others in high-risk situations armored and unarmored vehicles outfitted with protective elevated surveillance towers. These towers provide viewing from high vantage points giving responders better sight lines which may be critical to positive resolutions.

The TerraHawk mobile surveillance tower enables a single law enforcement officer to operate the observation capsule which may be raised up to 25-feet and offering 360 visibility, enabling law enforcement to observe a situation that would otherwise be blocked from sight. The system allows it to be rapidly and effectively deployed to different areas, thereby disrupting the ability of criminal elements to entrench in new locations.

The tower is fitted with long range, HD, thermal or infrared cameras that provide real-time surveillance enabling officers to immediately respond and react to criminal activity, as well as provide video footage to aid in immediate witness testimony.

Other key specs of the TerraHawk Surveillance System include:

•    13-foot body base length; interior height 90”; 90” exterior width

•    60” double narrow pan formed rear doors with rotary locks and paddle handle

•    Exterior LED clearance lights; LED stop/tail/turn lights recessed in the rear apron

•    4 LED interior dome lights in cargo area; 5 LED dome lights in each compartment

•    Scissor lift in the body, mounted to truck frame and capsule

•    Lift controls in capsule and truck cab

•    Automatic leveling legs in each corner of the body

•    Electronic systems include: redundant power systems for operation of hydraulic equipment; emergency and primary generator and battery systems; ground area surveillance camera systems to cover rear and sides; scene lights, weather vane/wind speed alarm, battery management system to manage battery power with alarm

•    Fitted with 2 fire extinguishers, AC/heat system, shore power plug with a transfer switch, reflector kit behind the passenger seat and first aid kit

•    Multiple battery charging systems including generator, shore power or chassis alternator

For over 25 years The Armored Group, LLC has been designing and manufacturing both armored and unarmored vehicles that protect first responders, military and others that need the highest level of protection in highly dangerous situations. TerraHawk has that same goal, by working together they can provide secure, elevated surveillance options from armored and unarmored vehicles. This gives first responders a better vantage point to observe and record criminal activity without ever leaving the vehicle.

“Together TAG and TerraHawk provides next-level protection while gaining access to criminal activity from an elevated surveillance capsule. The patented pass-through platform within the vehicle ensures constant protection while enabling personnel to record criminal activity in real time. We are honored to help our first responders stay safe in a variety of scenarios and will continue to develop vehicles and other products that help them do their jobs and go home to their families every day,” said Robert Pazderka, president and founder of The Armored Group, LLC.

The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and The Armored Group, LLC (TAG) today announced a strategic alliance to enhance Middle East Security, combat terrorism, create jobs in both the U.S. and Egypt and improve the quality and safety of armored vehicle products used throughout the region. This is the first time in AOI’s 43-year history, that they are considering having a partner in their defense sector.

The alliance is expected to further strengthen ties between the United States and Egypt, elevate manufacturing standards inside Egypt and cement TAG as a Global leader in the production of armored vehicles worldwide.

The alliance, the first of its kind for AOI, builds on each organization’s strengths to accomplish the following:

  • Establish a strong manufacturing presence in Egypt for the production of armored and specialty vehicles to be used by civilian and defense forces inside Egypt and throughout the region.
  • Integrate industry leading technology into armored vehicles used by Egyptian Defense forces to combat terrorism and provide internal security.
  • Educate and train a workforce inside Egypt to build world-class vehicles for use in Egypt and throughout the Middle East region.

“Today’s alliance highlights the importance of utilizing international expertise in the field of defense industries, creates real opportunities for investment in many modern industrial fields and is an important step on the road to industrialization, transfer and localization of technology inside Egypt,” said Abdul Moneim, Chairman of AOI.  “This partnership will further enhance cooperation between the United States and Egypt and expand the industrial marketplace in the Middle East region especially in  light of the strength and robustness of relations between Egypt and the United States over the long-term.”

Robert Pazderka, President and CEO of TAG, said, “This is an historic opportunity for TAG to build a significant manufacturing presence inside Egypt and throughout the Middle East region. This  will enhance the internal security of the entire area, increase the native manufacturing base and promote world-class armored vehicle products for use by both civilian and military agencies throughout the Middle East.  Egypt is a vibrant and pivotal market for the U.S. and this alliance allows TAG to promote American manufacturing products and standards that will serve both Egypt and the U.S. well for a long-time.”

This alliance is due in part to President Trump’s positive relationship with Egypt and discussions between Trump and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi’s during his first trip to the White House. According to an article from Reuters, both leaders look forward to closer ties that may “set the tone for a new era of warmer U.S.-Egyptian ties that could herald more military and political support for Cairo.”

“This new level of cooperation between the U.S. and Egypt has made this alliance possible and we hope to see many more mutually-beneficial opportunities between our two countries come to fruition,” said Pazderka.

The Armored Group (TAG), a leading worldwide provider of armored vehicles, recently tested their patented armoring technique, which withstood 30 KG blast tests at close range. The test was conducted by a leading independent third party, at their test facility in Texas, on May 3rd and 4th.  The vehicle tested, a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 that was up-armored by The Armored Group, was hit by 15kg TNT blasts on both the driver and passenger side at 2 meters.  The third-party testing house certified that the vehicle withstood the blasts in accordance with the requirements of the vehicle acceptance test (Blast Certification) by full scale trial according to the VPAM standard – ERV 2010 (VR6/VR7).  This same type of armor is available for other vehicles, making them some of the most highly protected vehicles on the market.

Most armored vehicle manufacturers conduct blast tests at a farther range, typically 4 meters, which lessens the direct impact to the vehicle. The successful results of this recent test at such close range makes it a highly-desirable vehicle for those looking for the highest degree of protection for law enforcement, SWAT, military, government agencies and others that require added safety.  The TAG Research and Development Team created this new armored build design to raise the bar on vehicular safety for anyone in the line of heavy artillery fire and blast threats.

“Our team is constantly striving to find new and better solutions to keep first responders, military personnel and others safe from harm. The certification of the 15KG TNT blast test at just 2 meters on both, the driver and passenger side of the vehicle, achieves this goal. Because this same armor can be used on other vehicles, it enhances the versatility of our products and vehicles, offering the highest level of personal protection,” said Robert Pazderka, President and Founder of TAG.
