BATT®-X Features

Our BATT®-X series includes features that add a higher level of comfort and safety than most other armored vehicles. We designed the BATT®-X series to accommodate fully geared officers comfortably and with the utmost security. BATT®-X models include, but are not limited too the following options:

We based the BATT®-X on the Ford F-550 4×4 chassis, available in either gas or diesel engines. The diesel version offers more torque and a faster throttle response, while the gas model is quieter and less expensive, but still offers adequate horsepower. The BATT®-X can achieve highway speeds of over 80 miles an hour (128 kph) with 12 to 14 fully geared officers inside.

The BATT®-X has everything other armored personnel carriers (APCs) on the market lack. BATT-X vehicles come armored in Level NIJ IV/B7+.50 Cal Ball Ammo and NIJ III/B6 Levels. This means they have the highest level of car armor protection, as classified by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). Level B7 ballistic armor can defend against armor piercing rifle fire and .50 caliber ball ammo rounds. Your team will have the ultimate protection in the BATT®-X.

The BATT UMG Truck shares the same benefits of our BATT-X APC with its completely accessible engine bay and power pack which can be completely removed and replaced within 10 hours.  TAG utilizes its 140,000 sq ft technology center conveniently located in Detroit Motor City to liaise with major OEM automotive manufacturers to ensure all modifications and upfits adhere to their strict guidelines set forth in their own manufacturing processes.  This has allowed TAG the opportunity to work directly with Ford to complete a full RHD steering conversion utilizing Ford OEM parts for the 75 countries who need it.

The Terrier LT-79 comes standard in a three-door configuration which offers a 2+6 seating arrangement.  Additionally variants are available in 5-door configurations as well as light surveillance, remote firing post (with RWS capability) and aircraft assault platforms which can be customized for any operational requirements. Due to it's highly customizable nature, the Terrier is popular with law enforcement, paramilitary, NGO and military clientele and can support a wide array of uses in many other industries.

The standard ballistic and blast protection of STANAG 4569 level I ensures survivability in most hostile environments.  From those specific regions which require a higher level of ballistic protection, the Terrier can be equipped with lightweight applique armor increasing to STANAG 4569 level II while maintaining much of the original payload capacity.
